Land of wine

Urban design

Furniture that reflects our winegrowing heritage.

In 2021, the town of Morières-lès-Avignon is launching a development plan for the Clos Folard park. This much-loved site is the town’s only green lung.

That same year, I took part in the project, proposing to design outdoor furniture for the park with the support of the Fédération des viticulteurs des Côtes-du-Rhône.

Land of wine proposed to recycle the old barrels used to house the region’s great grape varieties, and to design outdoor furniture rooted in the region.

The design pays tribute to barrel-making, an exceptional craft that has been practiced for thousands of years. Thanks to its round shapes, Land of wine reveals a play of light and shadow, fullness and emptiness.

This collection was designed by several craftsmen: a cabinetmaker for the two seats in the collection, and a locksmith from the Gard region for the powder-coated steel frames and bases.

The project won the Fimbacte 2021 prize in the Public/Private Synergy category awarded by the grand jury.

Land of wine  is a combination of wine-growing knowledge and craftsmanship, and proposes a new way of promoting the city and its territory.

Today, the project is expanding, with the creation of interior furnishings offering a complete immersive tasting experience.
