Kekkai
Product design
« Kekkai is the very particular nature of the relationship that stretches across the threshold, that we establish at the limit, requiring distance, spacing, pause. »

The School Paper competition aims to recycle the drop paper scraps produced each year by the company Procédés Chenel.
In collaboration with Fibois Val de Loire, we worked on a space divider that could be integrated into different living spaces.
Derived from the Japanese term, Kekkai means the threshold, the boundary between two spaces. lnspired by Noren, a fabric curtain from Japanese architecture, it unfurls in space, providing a place to recharge one’s batteries.
A play of light and shadow, the strips of paper, presented in three different sizes, create rhythm and offer a wealth of colorful compositions.
The project was realized in collaboration with Amandine Baridon and won third place in the School Paper 2022 competition.
