In music, a motif is a musical phrase or a complete fragment that forms the structure of a piece. It is repeated regularly and continuously.
Décibel France specializes in the installation of acoustic panels in the in the tertiary sector.
For this partnership, we have developed a range of acoustic covers compatible with various panel models from the ACOUSTISSIMO® range.
The covers are washable, easily interchangeable and allow a multitude of colour and shape color and shape combinations to suit any space.
Acoustic covers create a dialogue between several areas of expertise: the phonoabsorbing technology of ACOUSTISSIMO® acoustic fabric and the quilting technique, which adds volume to initially flat surfaces.
Prototypes exhibited at the Biennale d’Art et Design 2022 in Saint-Étienne and at the Salon des Maires in Paris.
Based on existing frames from the ACOUSTISSIMO® range, I designed a series of quilting patterns that evoke the presence of sound at the heart of the object.
Together, we developed an invisible stitching system, enabling us to create two-tone covers. This new composition allows for a greater diversity of combinations.
