Kheper

From the Egyptian word Kheper, the scarab is the powerful ancestral good-luck charm that promotes harmony and balance. Kheper embodies the sun god who is reborn each morning at dawn.

The scarab is one of the symbols par excellence of ancient Egypt, constantly depicted on temple sculptures, tomb paintings and papyrus. It accompanied the life and death of the ancient Egyptians.

The insect’s morphological and biological characteristics, interpreted symbolically, contributed to Kheper’s design.

An object of reflection, its history is linked to the work of light and the way it settles on the object during the day.

The mirror is paired with a pocket opener. It blends tinted glass, brass and metal in a singular balance.
